Alabama’s Sarah Ashlee Barker Earns SEC Postseason Award
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama women’s basketball’s graduate guard Sarah Ashlee Barker was named a 2025 First Team All-Southeastern Conference postseason award winner, the league office announced Tuesday.
Barker collected her second First Team All-SEC honor, in as many years, following her final regular season with the Crimson Tide, who finished with a 23-7 overall record and a 10-6 SEC record.
- Leads Alabama in scoring, averaging 17.3 points per game
- Since returning from injury on Jan. 26, has averaged 19.8 points per game
- Scored a career-high 36 points versus Vanderbilt (Jan. 26) before tying a career-high eight assists twice – versus Georgia (Feb. 2), at Mississippi State (Feb. 9)
- Collected back-to-back double-doubles during Alabama’s road contests at Florida (Feb. 6 – 18 pts, 10 rebs) and at Mississippi State (Feb. 9 – 19 pts, 12 rebs)
- Currently, ranked in the top 10 in the league for scoring (10th; 17ppg), field goal percentage (7th; 50.6%), assists (8th; 3.8 apg) and steals (8th; 2 spg)
- Tops the Tide in steals per game (2.0)
- Tied for second-most rebounds on the team, averaging 6.2 rebounds per game
- Fifth Alabama player to surpass 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 250 assists while at The Capstone
- Named to the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Midseason Team, Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award and Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Year Watch List
