CAA Player of the Year Victoria Barrett to Join Alabama Volleyball in 2025

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After spending the last three seasons with the Towson Tigers, graduate outside hitter and 2024 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year Victoria Barrett will join the Crimson Tide for the 2025 season.

Coming off her best collegiate season yet, Barrett totaled 462 kills across 111 sets for the Tigers in 2024, averaging 4.16 per set. For her efforts, the veteran hitter ranked in the top 10 of multiple stat categories in the CAA, including points (1st, 540.5), kills (2nd, 462), service aces (9th, 38) and hitting percentage (9th, .266). Barrett was named the 2024 CAA Player of the Year, First Team All-CAA and won four CAA Offensive Player of the Week awards during the season.

In total she earned three First Team All-CAA honors at Towson and was an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American as a sophomore in 2022. She spent her freshman season at New Mexico State, where she was named the 2021 WAC Rookie of the Year. She tallied 175 kills across 56 sets at a 3.13 per set clip with the Aggies, helping lead them to their second consecutive WAC regular season championship.

The Stafford, Virginia, native ended her prep career as the Virginia High School career record holder for kills (2,031) and was voted the All-Area Player of the Decade out of North Stafford High School.

Barrett is the fifth transfer for Alabama in 2025, alongside Sarah Stevens (Xavier), Trinity Stanger (Pepperdine), Lily Gervase (Virginia) and Maddie Snider (Florida State).
