Two Charged After Shooting into Occupied Vehicle

Great teamwork by Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies led to the weekend arrests of two men involved in shooting into an occupied vehicle in the Fort Walton Beach area.
It started over a verbal altercation involving money between the two teenage suspects and the victim at a convenience store Friday night.
The teens drove off and the victim was heading home driving behind them when a bullet went through his windshield near the intersection of Clifford Street and Trowbridge Avenue.
The driver was not injured.
Deputies were able to locate the suspects’ vehicle a few hours later and make a traffic stop on Colonial Drive.
They recovered a semi-automatic handgun from underneath the passenger seat. The passenger, identified as 19-year old Eli PIneda Lima, says he fired “into the air” to scare the victim.
OCSO deputies charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed firearm, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
The driver of the car, 17-year old Luis Lopez Guillen was also arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
