Women’s Golf Finishes in 11th Place at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Alabama women’s golf team wrapped up play at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Wednesday, finishing in 11th place overall with a team total of 892 (298-296-298). For the second straight tournament, Ryan Flynn led the way for the Crimson Tide, finishing 33rd overall with a 54-hole score of 10-over par 223 (72-77-74).
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Ryan Flynn moved up four spots on the final day of the tournament, tying for her second-highest tournament finish this season
- Mattison Frick finished tournament play in 40th place, carding an 11-over par 224 (77-70-77)
- Frick’s second round score of 1-under par 70 was the best 18-hole score among all UA individuals
- Julia Sánchez Morales also cracked the top 50 on the leaderboard, ending the tournament inz 46th position overall at 12-over par 225 (72-74-79)
- Harriet Lockley moved up five spots in the final round, with a 54-hole score of 16-over par 229 (77-78-74)
- Molly Brown Davidson posted the lowest score of the final for UA, carding 2-over par 73, finishing in 72nd at 17-over par 230 (82-75-73)
TEAM RESULTS
- No. 5 South Carolina and No. 22 LSU finished tied for first place on the team leaderboard at 11-over par 863
- Arkansas’ Kendall Todd took home medalist honors after carding a 1-under par 212
UP NEXT
- The Crimson Tide will be back in action at the Florida State match up, which will take place March 21-23 in Tallahassee, Fla.
