Alabama Gymnastics Rolls Past Michigan for Season-Finale Victory
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The No. 12 Alabama gymnastics program concluded its regular season defeating No. 17 Michigan (10-6, 6-3 Big Ten). The Crimson Tide (6-9, 1-7 SEC) used its second-highest road score of the season, 197.050, to top the Wolverines who posted a 196.675.
The Crimson Tide registered higher team rotation scores on vault, bars and beam than Michigan as UA captured at least a share of every event title, with Lilly Hudson leading the way with three event titles ((beam, floor, all-around).
Alabama will now turn its sights to the 2025 Southeastern Conference Championship, March 22, in Birmingham, Ala., where the Tide will compete in the first session.
“Tonight was a great road win for us. [It’s] always exciting to be in an environment that’s tough like it is here in Michigan and be able to come out with a win. I think overall, what I’m most proud of is how this team stayed locked in. They stayed focused. We talked about 14,400 seconds of being locked in, which was about a four-hour time frame, and I feel like they really did that. They fought, they dug in. Certain performances were really outstanding and then there were a few that they had to put behind them to move forward and continue to create momentum. The regular season is over, and now we’re focused on [the] SEC Championships this upcoming week.
