Alabama Baseball’s Bobby Alcock Named Co-SEC Pitcher of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama baseball’s right-hander Bobby Alcock was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. The distinction is the first weekly honor of Alcock’s career and the second for the Crimson Tide this season.

  • Helped Alabama shut out Texas A&M and secure the road series sweep of the 19th-ranked Aggies
  • Struck out a career-high eight batters while allowing just four hits and two walks over 7.0 scoreless frames
  • Managed at least one strikeout in five of his seven innings, highlighted by four consecutive punchouts between the third and fourth innings.
  • The 7.0 innings on Sunday represented the longest outing by a Crimson Tide starter this season
