Selena Harris-Miranda and Danie Ferris Earn SEC Weekly Honors

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida’s Danie Ferris and Selena Harris-Miranda earned Southeastern Conference weekly gymnastics honors following the Gators’ 198.675 -197.725 win over No. 10 Kentucky to close regular-season action.
 
Posting the nation’s second-highest all-around total of this season earns Harris-Miranda her third Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week honor. Ferris’ first collegiate vault 10.0 earns her a share of her second SEC Specialist of the Week award of the season.
 
Ferris shares the SEC Specialist of the Week with Missouri’s Helen Hu. The co-SEC Freshman of the Week are Kailin Chio of LSU and Addison Faith of Oklahoma. 
 
Selena Harris-Miranda: SEC Gymnast of the Week

  • Won Kentucky at Florida dual with the SECs 2025 all-around high of 39.875. It is nation’s No. 2 all-around total of the season and is the second highest of her career.
  • Won fourth all-around title of 2025 and 16th of career.
  • Earned 10.0 on balance beam. Now has perfect marks for vault, bars and beam.
  • Also shared uneven bars win with Alyssa Arana at 9.95
  • Won 14 event titles in 2025 (4 all-around, vault, 3 bars, 2 beam and 1 floor)
  • No. 7 in Road to National all-around rankings with 39.635 NQS. Also No. T2 in vault (9.95), No. T8 in bars (9.930), No. T18 in beam (9.905) and No. T16 in floor (9.925)

 
Danie Ferris: SEC Specialist of the Week

  • Closed 2025 home action with a 10.0 vault versus No. 10 Kentucky. First collegiate vault 10.0 and first since winning the 2022 Level 10 national vault championship.
  • Second vault win of season and third of career.
  • Equaled season floor best of 9.90.
  • Three vault 10.0s in the nation in 2025 – all by SEC gymnasts. Ninth Gators with a vault 10.0, with a total of 19 vault 10.0s for UF.
