TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State men’s tennis team returns home after a two-week road trip to face No. 16 Clemson and Georgia Tech.

FSU will take on Clemson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday before hosting Georgia Tech at 1 p.m. on Sunday for the annual Seminole Heritage Match.

Florida State defeated both teams on the road last season, winning a 4-3 thriller over the Yellow Jackets as Loris Pourroy clinched a three-set match over a ranked opponent before handling Clemson 4-1 the same weekend.

Jamie Connel and Alex Bulte each recorded impressive singles wins against No. 1 Wake Forest. Connel took down the No. 65 player in the nation in straight sets, winning 12 of the 16 games played, and remains unbeaten in conference play.  Bulte replicated the same feat, winning 6-1, 6-3 in straight sets to record his first career ACC win on Court 3.

Corey Craig and Azariah Rusher earned their first-ever win as a doubles team over the Wolfpack, winning 6-4 on Court 3. Joshua Dous-Karpenschif and Erik Schiessl secured their ninth doubles victory of the spring over Wake Forest with a 6-4 scoreline on Court 2.

Friday’s match will feature a Special Olympic athlete recognition before the match. Sunday’s match will be honored as the Seminole Heritage match. Live video and stats will be available on Seminoles.com.
