Last Updated: March 21, 2025By

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida senior All-American Leanne Wong is part of the Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Community Service team, announced today by the league office.

Each of the SEC’s nine gymnastics programs nominates a gymnast who gives back to her community through exemplary service efforts on the team. Each of the 22 sports the league sponsors has its own Community Service Team.

Leanne Wong’s Community Service
She started the Leanne Wong Foundation in September of 2024, with the goal to reduce prepared food waste and food insecurity. Just in the fall of 2024, more than 7,000 meals were provided to the Gainesville community with the food contributions.

During her Gator career, Wong also has participated in American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events and food drives. She’s helped with the Gator Tracks program, which is a Florida student-athlete focused event with the goal to provide shoes and socks to Gainesville area children during the holiday season. Each year, the shoe distribution reached more than 400 children.
