Alabama Turns Focus to NCAA Tournament Round of 32 Contest vs. St. Mary’s
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The No. 2 seed Alabama men’s basketball team has turned its focus towards Sunday’s NCAA Tournament Round of 32 matchup vs. No. 7 seed St. Mary’s which is slated to tipoff at 5:10 p.m. CT (6:10 p.m. ET) on TNT.
The Crimson Tide spent Saturday making final preparations with film study along with a 90-minute workout inside Rocket Arena. Following the practice, Alabama players and coaching staff met with media, television and radio for 40 minutes.
The Tide advanced to Sunday’s contest thanks to a 90-81 victory over 15th-seeded Robert Morris on Friday afternoon behind Mark Sears’ 22 points and 10 assists. The Gaels defeated No. 10 seed Vanderbilt, 59-56, to improve to 29-5 overall this season.
A victory over the Gaels would give the Tide its third consecutive Sweet 16 appearance, which would be a first in school history.
