Jones Highlights Alabama on Third Night of NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Emily Jones secured a pair of All-America honors to pace Alabama on the third night of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The UA junior earned her first career individual All-America honor after capturing a 15th-place finish in the 100 backstroke. Alabama would also earn Second Team All-America honors as Jones, Avery Wiseman, Kailyn Winter and Cadence Vincent closed the night with a 14th-place finish in the 400 medley relay.

Alabama heads into the final day of competition in 16th place with 41 points.

Meet Notes

  • Emily Jones earned All-America honors after securing a spot in the consolation finals of the 100 backstroke with a 51.20
  • She would better her prelim time by five hundredths of a second (51.15) to move to 15th overall for second-team honors
  • Later in the meet, Jones alongside Avery Wiseman, Kailyn Winter and Cadence Vincent clocked a 3:29.97 for 14th place and Second Team All-America honors
  • The national accolades would be the fifth and sixth overall, and first in an individual event, for Jones (2025: 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay | 2023: 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 400 medley relay)
  • Vincent recorded her fourth All-American accolade at this year’s championship (50 free, 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay)
  • Both Wiseman (200 and 400 medley relay) and Winter (200 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay) captured their second 2025 national honor
