Alabama Closes Women’s NCAA Championships with All-America Honors in Three Events
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Alabama closed the final night of the Women’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with a trio of All-America performances to help advance to the team to a 15th-place finish.
Avery Wiseman and Cadence Vincent earned individual All-America honors on the final day of competition. Wiseman captured a ninth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke, while Vincent recorded a 10th-place finish in the 100 freestyle, as both swimmers notched Second Team All-America accolades.
Vincent would compete as the leadoff swimmer for the Tide’s 400 freestyle relay as the UA sophomore, Kailyn Winter, Emily Jones and Diana Petkova combined for a 13th-place finish.
Alabama concluded competition in 15th-place with 65 points, bettering the team’s performance from a year prior by 40 points (23rd place – 25 points).
Meet Notes
- Wiseman recorded the fastest time in the consolation final of the 200 breaststroke by nearly a second, posting a 2:06.71 for ninth place
- Cadence Vincent boasted a career-best 47.43 during the 100 freestyle prelims, moving her to third all-time in program history and cementing her spot in the consolation final with a 10th-place finish during the morning event
- She would go 47.49 in the finals to finish 10th overall and earn her second individual All-America honor at the meet
- The Tide’s 400 freestyle relay team captured a time of 3:12.66 to earn second-team honors as Alabama earned All-America accolades with all four of its relay performances
- Kailyn Winter also turned in a career-best time of 48.62 in the prelims of the 100 freestyle
- Alabama concluded the meet with All-America honors in eight events, paced by a six-time 2025 All-America performance from Vincent
- Jones would finish the meet with four All-America honors, while both Wiseman and Winter captured a trio of Second Team All-America honors
