TALLAHASSEE – The No. 11 Florida State Men’s Golf team is set to head to the 2025 Valspar Collegiate Invitational in Palm City, Florida from March 24-25 at the Floridian Golf Club.  
 
The University of Houston will host 16 teams in the 54 hole tournament. The teams will open with 36 holes on Monday and will play the remaining 18 holes on Tuesday.

GCAA Poll
On Thursday, the Golf Coaches Association of America released its updated poll, moving up the No. 11 from No. 21.

This week at the Valspar, the Seminoles will face eight other ranked teams including the top three teams.

The Seminoles won their second tournament of 2025 at the Seminole Intercollegiate, hosted by Florida State at the Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville, Georgia March 10-11. 

 

The Noles defeated the 14 competing teams with Luke Clanton leading at 15-under par, 195. After scoring five birdies on the back nine, Clanton clinched his second tournament victory of the season. 

 

Jack Bigham tied for fifth at 5-under, 205 including shooting his season low of 68 in the first and third round. Carson Brewer finished 3-under, 207 tying him for eighth. 

 

Tyler Weaver finished in the top 20 at 1-over, 211 after hitting a hole-in-one on the 16th hole. Gray Albright finished tied for 23rd with 3-over, 213. 

 

Wilmer Edero placed third competing individually at 6-under, 204. Edero shot 66 on his first round followed by two rounds of 69. Not far behind, Micheal Mays tied for 14th individually finishing at even par, 210.
