Alabama Duo, Barker and Nye, Named WBCA Coaches’ All-America Finalists

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Sarah Ashlee Barker and Aaliyah Nye have been selected as Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America Finalists, the league announced Tuesday.

The selection committee will meet in Tampa, Fl., in conjunction with the annual WBCA Convention, to select the 10-member Coaches’ All-America team from the 50 finalists, which will be announced Thursday, April 3.

  • Two-time First Team All-SEC honoree (2024, 2025)
  • Accumlated 1,642 career points
  • Appeared and started in 27 games, after missing five games due to injury during the 2024-25 season
  • Led Alabama in scoring average with 18.2 points per game
  • Became the program’s leader for most points in a single game with 45 in the 2025 NCAA Second Round at Maryland (3/24/25)
  • Holds the school’s mark for most field goals made in a game after going 17-of-25 from the field (3/24/25)
  • Surpassed 1,500 career points versus Tennessee (Feb. 20)
  • Tied a career-high eight assists in three different games – versus Georgia (Feb. 2), at Mississippi State (Feb. 9), versus Green Bay (Mar. 22)
  • Recorded back-to-back double-doubles in Alabama’s road wins over Florida (Feb. 6 – 18 pts, 10 rebs) and at Mississippi State (Feb. 9 – 19 pts, 12 rebs)
  • Led Alabama in scoring in 11 of 31 games during the season
  • Became the fifth player in Alabama history to surpass 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 250 assists while at The Capstone (2024-25)

  • Set the Alabama record for three-pointers made in a single season (111) during the 2024-25 season, after first breaking the initial record in 2023-24 (108)
  • Collected 1,739 career points
  • Became Alabama’s career leader in made three pointers during the Crimson Tide’s comeback win over Auburn (Feb. 23)
  • Holds the UA record with 293 made three-pointers
  • One of four UA players to average double digit scoring this season, with 15.2 points per game
  • Set the program single-game record with nine made three pointers at Florida (Feb. 6)
  • Surpassed 1,500 career points, behind a career-high 32-point performance, in the Crimson Tide’s win at Ole Miss (Jan. 12)
  • Led the SEC three-pointers made (111) and three pointers per game (3.4)
  • Ranked fourth in the NCAA for made three pointers (111)
  • Scored in double figures in 26 of 32 contests
  • Named the SEC Player of the Week during non-conference play (12/31/2024)
