Florida Men’s Swimming and Diving Competes at NCAA Championships
Florida boasts at least one Gator in each of the 16 individual events, appearing 51 times across the swimming and diving psych sheets. UF’s 15 invited swimmers rank third among all schools for qualifiers at this year’s championships, trailing only Cal’s and Texas’ 18. Additionally, 14 of Florida’s 15 swimmers are listed three times on the psych sheet, which is the maximum number of individual events permitted. Moreover, Florida ranks top-two in the five relay events, sitting No. 1 in both medley relays and No. 2 in the free relays. Five Gators are making their NCAA Championships debut, while nine student-athletes have earned All-America honors during their careers.
Wednesday will kick off the Championships with the 200 medley relay starting at 9 p.m. and 800 free relay following at 10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday will begin with individual swimming prelims at 1 p.m. and finals at 9 p.m. each day, with diving prelims slated for 3 p.m.
