Florida Tennis to Host Arkansas Before Traveling to Oklahoma on Sunday

GATORS LAST TIME OUT
The Gators recorded a 5-2 loss to Vanderbilt on Sunday afternoon. Despite the loss on their home courts, the Gators earned two impressive singles victories from Rachel Gailis and Alicia Dudeney.
No. 39 Rachel Gailis opened the scoring column for Florida, dominating on court one with a 6-2, 6-3 win over No. 11 Celia-Belle Mohr. No. 91 Alicia Dudeney followed, logging a 1-6, 6-0, 10-8 victory against No. 56 Valeria Ray giving the Gators their second and final point of the evening.
ABOUT THE RAZORBACKS:
Arkansas will travel to Gainesville and hunt for their second SEC win of the spring. The Razorbacks currently stand at 1-8 in conference play, having only defeated Missouri. Arkansas will also look to break its four-match losing streak, recently falling to Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and South Carolina.
The razorbacks only have one player in the ITA rankings, No. 74 Carolina Gomez Alonso. Gomez Alonso is a junior from Spain and holds a record of 9-11 thus far into the season to put her in the top-75.
ABOUT THE SOONERS:
No. 10 Oklahoma currently stands at 5-4 in conference action and has tallied wins against Arkansas, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and South Carolina. OU will host the Gators on Sunday after playing at No. 8 Auburn on Friday evening.
The Sooners have four ranked singles players, No. 19 Julia Garcia Ruiz, No. 26 Alina Shcherbinina, No. 70 Emma Staker, and No. 103 Salakthip Ounmang. On the doubles side, OU is represented by No. 37 Ounmang/Roisin Gilheany, No. 50 Chloe Noel/Garcia Ruiz, No. 63 Cara Mester/Shcherbinina, and No. 90 Mester/Emma Ghirardato.
FLORIDA IN THE RANKS:
The Gators currently sit at No. 31 in the ITA rankings and have representation in both the singles and doubles categories. Gailis sits at No. 39 in singles as she works her way back up in the ranks, and Dudeney is in the top 100 at No. 91.
In doubles, Gailis and Dudeney remain at No. 6 after their run in November 2024, into the final four of the NCAA Tournament. Dudeney is also ranked in doubles alongside fellow senior, Bente Spee, and they have recently cracked the rankings at No. 60.
