DAVIS, Calif. – The No. 7 Florida lacrosse team (8-2, 0-0 Big 12) will travel to the west coast for a matchup against UC Davis (3-6, 1-0 Big 12) in the Gators Big 12 conference opener. First draw is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET on Friday at UC Davis Health Stadium.

The Gators are looking for their sixth straight win, coming off a 13-12 victory in overtime over Penn on Wednesday. UF trailed by as many as three goals, before Gianna Monaco capped a three-goal day off with the game-winning goal in overtime. Kaitlyn Davies scored the game tying goal in regulation for her career high fifth goal of the game. Frannie Hahn nodded two goals and six assists in the win.

Series History

This is the third career meeting between the two programs, with UF owning a 2-0 record against the Aggies.  

Florida defeated UC Davis in the last matchup 21-7 on March 6, 2024 in San Diego. The Gators led by as many as 16 goals, showcased by 12 different goal scorers and game program records from Liz Harrison (19 draw controls) and Maggi Hall (eight assists).

In the two matchups, UF has outscored UC Davis by a 37-11 margin. This will be the first game between the squads at UC Davis, with the other matches occurring in San Diego and Gainesville.

Outlook on the Aggies

UC Davis owns a 3-6 record on the season, riding a one-game winning streak in their Big 12 opener over San Diego State by a 24-15 margin last Saturday.

The Aggies are led by the offensive trio of Alex Agnew (16 goals, 18 assists), Grace Gerbhardt (26 goals, 6 assists), and Allanah Scott (21 goals, 2 assists) who have combined for 89 of the teams 159 points this season (55.9 percent). The trio combined for 15 goals against San Diego State on Saturday.
