No. 2 Seed Alabama Takes on No. 1 Seed Duke for a Spot in the 2025 Men’s Basketball Final Four
NEWARK, N.J. – No. 2 seed Alabama and No. 1 seed Duke are set to meet Saturday night for a spot in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four. The Elite Eight matchup will pit the East Region’s top-two seeds in the regional title game, which tips off at 7:49 p.m. CT (8:49 p.m. ET) on TBS/truTV.
The Crimson Tide spent Friday making final preparations for its contest against the Blue Devils inside the Prudential Center. Head coach Nate Oats went over the game plan and matchups during the 90-minute session on the game floor.
Following practice, Alabama players met with local and national media, as well as network television and national radio to preview the highly anticipated contest between two of the nation’s top college basketball teams.
The Tide advanced to the East Regional Final thanks to victories over 15th-seeded Robert Morris (90-81) in the first round, No. 7 seed St. Mary’s (80-66) in the Round of 32 and Friday’s toppling of No. 6 BYU (113-88) in the Sweet 16.
The Blue Devils defeated No. 16 Mount St. Mary’s (93-49), No. 9 Baylor (89-66) and No. 4 Arizona (100-93) on its way to the Elite Eight showdown.
Saturday’s contest will mark the 10th meeting between the two teams, with Duke leading the all-time series, 8-1. The last time the teams met on the hardwood came on Nov. 27, 2013, when the Blue Devils captured a 74-64 decision over the Tide.
