TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 4 Florida State baseball team returns home to host Jacksonville on Tuesday, April 1, at 6 p.m. ET, at Dick Howser Stadium.
General admission tickets are $2 and available at Seminoles.com/Tickets or by calling the FSU ticket office at 850-644-1830. Admission is free for all FSU students with their I.D., and the student entrance is at the right field gate at Haggard Plaza.
In addition to the GA ticket deal, select concession items are available for just $3. FSU’s 1975 College World Series Team will be recognized at the game as they celebrate their 50th anniversary.

Sophomore left-hander Hudson Rowan (1-0, 6.75 ERA) will get the start of the Seminoles. It’s his sixth appearance in 2025 and his first career start. He will face junior righty Aaron Zenus (1-2, 3.38 ERA), who makes his third start of the year for the Dolphins.
Florida State is 23-4 overall, 16-2 at home, 6-2 on the road and 1-0 at a neutral site. FSU leads the ACC with a 7-2 record. The Seminoles return home Tuesday after a season-long seven game roadtrip where they posted a 5-2 record. That included series wins at Miami and Notre Dame around a neutral-site, walk-off win over Florida in Jacksonville.

FSU has scored 241 runs on 315 hits with a .330 batting average, 55 home runs, 119 walks and 33 stolen bases. The pitching staff owns a 3.69 ERA with 95 earned runs allowed in 232.0 innings with 177 hits, 303 strikeouts and 110 walks.
Junior infielder Alex Lodise leads the team with a .466 batting average, 54 hits, 34 RBI, 10 doubles and 101 total bases and is second with 11 home runs. Junior outfielder Max Williams paces the squad with 12 home runs and is second with 30 RBI. Junior outfielder Gage Harrelson has eight stolen bases and is second with a .374 average and 43 hits. On the mound, junior lefty Joey Volini is 7-0 with a 1.25 ERA, 63 strikeouts and nine walks in 43.1 innings. Among relievers, sophomore righty Chris Knier has a 2.25 ERA with 20 strikeouts and four runs on 10 hits in 16.0 innings.

The Seminoles are ranked in the top six in every major poll for a fifth consecutive week, including at No. 4 in the D1Baseball top-25. They also are No. 4 in the NCBWA and Coaches polls and No. 6 according to Baseball America, Perfect Game and The Athletic. College Baseball Central has FSU at No. 4.
SERIES HISTORY VS. JACKSONVILLE
Florida State is 136-42 all-time in the in-state series against Jacksonville following a 9-6 win at JU on February 26. FSU is 86-14 in Tallahassee, 49-28 on the road and 1-0 at a neutral site. The Seminoles have won five in a row in the series, including all three in 2024, and eight of the last nine. This year marks the fourth consecutive year Florida State will play at JU once and host the Dolphins twice.
Earlier this year, on February 26, a three-run home run in the fifth and consecutive strikeouts with the bases loaded in the eighth helped FSU to a 9-6 win at Jacksonville. The Seminoles scored their nine runs on 15 hits while the Dolphins plated six runs on 10 hits. JU committed six errors and FSU had two. SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
Jacksonville makes its first trip to Tallahassee in 2025 with a 16-11 overall record, a 12-7 mark at home and an even 4-4 record on the road. The Dolphins are 6-3 in ASUN play after a series sweep of Queens last weekend. JU has won four in a row, including a 3-2 midweek win over UCF last Tuesday. Jacksonville is 0-6 against top-25 opponents, with a pair of losses to No. 10/13 Florida and a trio of home losses to No. 21 West Virginia in addition to the 9-6 loss to FSU on February 26.
Jonah Sheilds leads the team with a .368 average and 35 hits, while Blake DeLamielleure has a team-high 23 RBI and Josh Steidle boasts five home runs. Richard Long has a 1.64 ERA in 44.0 innings and Collin Rothermel has 42 strikeouts in 37.2 innings, both with seven starts.

FSU secured its third series win in ACC play and has won all seven series to begin the 2025 campaign after two victories at Notre Dame from March 28-30. The Seminoles dropped the opener before taking both games of a doubleheader two days later.
The series began with a 16-9 loss on March 28. The Seminoles scored nine runs on 13 hits with two errors while the Fighting Irish scored 16 runs on 15 hits with one error. Florida State hit six home runs in the defeat, the third consecutive ACC series opener FSU hit four or more and tied for the most on the season along with a similar six-homer outburst a week ago at Miami.
Rain forced a doubleheader on Sunday, and Volini threw his second consecutive seven-inning complete game in a 4-2 win in the opener. In seven innings, he allowed just two runs on four hits with a career-high-tying 11 strikeouts. Volini improved to 7-0 in seven starts this season and is the first Seminole starter to achieve the feat since Michael Hyde posted an 8-0 start in his first eight games in 2008. Harrelson hit his third home run of the season for a seventh-inning insurance run as part of a one-hit, two-RBI day.
In the finale, FSU completed the doubleheader sweep with a 17-9 victory, aided by five home runs, including the first career long ball for redshirt freshman designated hitter James Hankerson Jr. FSU scored five in the first, seven in the second and two in the third to highlight the offensive showing. Along with his first home run, Hankerson Jr. had two hits, six RBI and three runs scored, all collegiate bests. He entered the day with one career hit in five at-bats. A trio of juniors also homered, as Lodise hit two and third baseman Carter McCulley and Williams hit one in the win. Knier earned his first career win and did not allow a run on two hits with a strikeout and a walk in 1.2 innings.
