TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Three Alabama women’s basketball stars will participate in different events during the NCAA Tournament Championship week. Sarah Ashlee Barker (‘So You Want To Be A Coach’ Program) and Zaay Green (Women’s College All-Star Game) will represent the Crimson Tide in Tampa, Fla., while Aaliyah Nye (Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships) will travel to San Antonio, Texas.

Aaliyah Nye – State Farm Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships

Date: Thursday, April 3

Location: Frost Bank Center – San Antonio, Texas

• Nye will join the Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship roster for the 36^th annual State Farm Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships
• The event invites a collection of the nation’s elite men’s and women’s college basketball players to compete for slam dunk and 3-point shooting bragging rights
• The winners of the men’s and women’s 3-Point Championships will then compete in the Sketchers Battle of Champions

Sarah Ashlee Barker – ‘So You Want To Be A Coach’ Program

Date: Thursday, April 3 – Friday, April 4

Location: Tampa, Fla.

Event Info:

• Hosted by The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)
• Barker will join the 22^nd class of the “So” Program
• The “So” Program increases the understanding and application of skills necessary to secure coaching positions in women’s basketball, increases the awareness of competencies necessary for success in coaching, introduces female basketball players to coaches and administrators and raises awareness of the existing talent pool of female basketball players who have a passion and interest in coaching the game of women’s basketball

Zaay Green – Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game

Date: Saturday, April 5

Location: Hillsborough Community College-Mabry Campus – Tampa, Fla.

Time: 2 p.m. CT

• The event provides 20 of the country’s brightest stars one final opportunity to represent their programs and be recognized against the backdrop of the sport’s championship weekend
• Green will play for either Team Lieberman or Team Miller, which will be coached by Naismith Hall of Famers and basketball legends Nancy Lieberman and Cheryl Miller, respectively
