Florida State Athletics Selects Teamworks General Manager
With the selection of Teamworks GM, FSU becomes the sixth Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) program to adopt General Manager—further solidifying its position as a leader in forward-thinking athletic administration.
As a long-standing Teamworks Elite partner, FSU already leverages a suite of Teamworks products, including Compliance and Recruiting, Inventory Management, Nutrition, Influencer, Academics, and Hub. The addition of General Manager enhances this ecosystem—consolidating data, streamlining operations, and equipping administrators with powerful tools to make informed, future-focused decisions.
“We are committed to maintaining an athletics department that elevates our student-athlete experience by achieving comprehensive excellence in competition, in the classroom and in the community. This is why I am excited to expand our partnership with Teamworks to include Teamworks GM,” said Michael Alford, Vice President and Director of Athletics at FSU. “Teamworks GM will be of daily use to our coaches and staff, which will help us hit the ground running with an all-inclusive, efficient system for the future of college athletics. Teamworks GM is another tool that will help us advance our goal of having every student-athlete leave Florida State with a valuable degree in one hand and a championship ring on the other.”
With over 20 NCAA team national championships and a tradition of excellence spanning football, softball, soccer, track and field, and more, FSU Athletics has consistently maintained its place among the nation’s premier programs. The integration of General Manager reinforces that legacy—empowering the department with cutting-edge capabilities such as customizable player tags, advanced budgeting features, and mock roster planning tools that simulate future team compositions and resource allocations.
“Florida State’s adoption of General Manager is another exciting step forward for the ACC and for our vision of modernizing athletic department leadership,” said Wes French, General Manager of Teamworks Personnel. “FSU is embracing a technology-driven model that aligns with their tradition of excellence and prepares them for long-term success. We’re excited to partner with another iconic program in the conference and continue growing together.”
Furthermore, General Manager seamlessly integrates with Teamworks Hub, ensuring that rosters and athlete data remain updated across all platforms. This connectivity eliminates manual data entry and redundancies, allowing FSU’s staff to focus on building winning programs rather than managing administrative tasks.
With this partnership, Florida State reaffirms its place as a national leader in collegiate athletics, championing both competitive excellence and strategic innovation as the industry evolves.
