TALLAHASSEE –The No.13/NR Florida State track and field teams will return to Gainesville for the Tom Jones Invite on April 18-19 at James. G. Pressly Stadium at Percy Beard Track.
The first event for the Noles will begin on Friday at 12 p.m. with the men’s hammer throw. Live results will be available, and fans can watch the action live on SECN+.
The men debuted the season at No.13 on April 8 and held its position for the second straight week.
Joella Llyod will look to lead the women’s team, making her debut in the 100-meters. The two-time Olympian holds the national record in the 100 (11.06) and 200 (23.39) for Antigua and Barbuda.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Seminoles recorded eight top 10 FSU performances between the Stanford Invite and Florida Relays.
At Stanford, Brooke Mullins competed in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking a personal best and sixth-fastest time in FSU history at 10:00.91. Emily Brown followed closely behind with the ninth-fastest time in program history at 10:08.97 for a ninth-place finish.
Zach Leachman placed 10th overall in the men’s 10,000, recording a career best and the second-fastest time in school history at 28:25.91. Zach Cloud claimed the sixth-fastest time in FSU history with a lifetime performance of 28:25.91, placing 13th in the men’s 5,000.
Andre Korbmacher competed in the men’s 110 hurdles at the Florida Relays, placing sixth with the fifth-fastest time in school history with a lifetime best of 13.52. Kyvon Tatham led FSU in the men’s triple jump, placing third with a personal best and the eighth-farthest jump in FSU history at 16.37m (53-8 ½).
Neo Mosebi had an impressive showing in the men’s 100, placing second with a wind-aided time of 10.03, marking the ninth-fastest in the world in 2025.
The women’s 4×400-meter relay team of Alyia Green, Jaden Francis, Tyra Wilson and Kaelyaah Liburd turned in a fourth-place finish and the seventh-fastest time in program history at 3:30.32.
