GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators Track and Field’s Anthaya Charlton has been named Co-SEC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. The nod comes following her 6.82m [22′ 4.5″] Long Jump at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, which set the wind-legal World and NCAA leads in the outdoor long jump.

Her personal best mark landed her among the top marks in both collegiate and program history, with her mark becoming the No. 19 performance in NCAA history, and vaulting her past reigning Indoor World Champion in the Long Jump, Claire Bryant, on the program all-time performance list. She now trails only NCAA Champions Jasmine Moore and Yanis David on the program’s list.

The Tom Jones Memorial Invitational marked the ’25 Outdoor season debut for Charlton. During the Indoor slate, Charlton earned SEC Field Athlete of the Week for her 6.98, NCAA all-time No. 2 and world-leading Long Jump at the Razorback Invitational. She would go on to finish fourth at the NCAA Indoor championships and sixth at the World Athletics Indoor Championships.

On the track, Charlton posted a wind-aided [+2.1] 11.12-second 100m which, if run with legal wind, would have earned her the program record in the signature sprint event.
