Emily Jones Named CSC Academic All-American
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama’s Emily Jones was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Jones concluded the 2024-25 season as a four-time All-American and an All-Southeastern Conference honoree.
Jones’ nod to the CSC Academic All-America team marked the Alabama swimming and diving program’s 11th consecutive year of having an academic All-American honoree. In total, 27 members of the UA men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads have earned academic All-America honors 41 times.
Emily Jones, Third Team Academic All-America
- Four-time 2025 All-American, earning second-team honors in the 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 400 free relay
- Earned her first individual All-America honor with a 15th-place finish in the 100 backstroke at the NCAA Championships
- Named to the All-SEC Second Team thanks to a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke at the Southeastern Conference Championships
- Ranks second in program history in the 100 backstroke (50.75) and second in the 200 backstroke (1:52.25)
- Captured the second most All-America honors by an Alabama female swimmer at the 2025 NCAA Championships
- Won three events in her first dual meet (Delta State – Sept. 27) since redshirting her sophomore campaign due to an injury
- Won the 100 backstroke at the Georgia Fall Invitational and placed second in the 200 butterfly
- Holds a 3.93 GPA in Sports Management
