TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball freshman outfielder Audrey Vandagriff has been selected to the 2025 NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year list, announced Friday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Vandagriff currently sits second nationally with 47 stolen bases, already among the top 10 totals in Alabama single-season history and the highest ever for a Crimson Tide freshman. She leads the team with 58 hits, a .414 batting average and 29 walks. The Bogart, Ga., native also has 18 multi-hit games this season and at one point led the team with a 26-game reached base streak.

The list of 25 will be narrowed to a Top 10 on May 8, a Top Three on May 22 with the winner announced on May 27 in Oklahoma City just prior to the start of the 2025 Women’s College World Series.
