GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Florida lacrosse team (14-2, 4-0 Big 12) welcomes in Arizona State (10-6, 3-1 Big 12) for the final game of the regular season on Senior Day. Opening draw is slated for Saturday at 10 a.m.

Florida’s eight seniors of Jordan Basso, Brie Catts, Elyse Finnelle, Celeste Forte, Josie Hahn, Georgia Hoey, Jenny Markey and Macy Zaban will be honored for Senior Day after the game on the field.

The Gators are currently riding an 11-game winning streak, coming off a 20-2 victory over Cincinnati last Saturday. Florida allowed a season low two goals against, good for the least goals given up since April 28, 2021 against Liberty. Kaitlyn Davies and Gianna Monaco each totaled four goals, along with three from Jenny Markey.

Series History

It is the fourth career meeting between the Gators and Sun Devils, with UF 3-0 all-time against Arizona State.

It is the fourth consecutive season these teams will square-off, as Florida beat Arizona State in their last meeting by a score of 22-6 on March 3, 2024.

The Gators are 1-0 all-time against Arizona State in Gainesville, defeating them 17-12 on March 5, 2023. Florida has defeated the Sun Devils by an average margin of 10.66 goals per game over the three contests, averaging 20 goals per outing.

Familiar Faces

Current Arizona State Head Coach Taryn VanThof Puls was an assistant coach in Gainesville from 2017-2022, now in her second as the head coach for the Sun Devils. The Gators posted an 89-24 record during VanThof Puls six seasons at Florida.

Current Sun Devils Assistant Coach Danielle Pavinelli played for Florida from 2021-2024, appearing in 87 games and garnering 84 starts. Pavinelli totaled 302 career points in Gainesville, good for third all-time in the program. Her 207 goals ranked fifth and her 95 assists ranked third, as she is the only player to rank top-five in all three of those categories.

The Gators’ defense has allowed just six goals over the last two games, holding the opponents to a combined six-for-35 shooting (.171 percent). Florida has given up 10 or less goals in six consecutive games.

Frannie Dishing Ability

Frannie Hahn is coming off a five-assist performance against Cincinnati, logging her third game of five or more assists this season. Hahn’s 46 assists are tied for the second most in a UF season all-time, as she sits just nine assists behind Maggi Hall (54) for the most in a season.

Back-to-Back 20 Goal Performances

Florida is coming off two-consecutive 20 goal games, their first time this season they have done that. The Gators have mounted 15 or more goals in six consecutive games, ranking sixth nationally in scoring offense with 16.38 goals per game. UF has totaled 20 or more goals four times this season.

This game will feature three-players who rank in the top-five in both goals per game and assists per game in the Big 12, along with four players in the top-five in points per game.

Teagan Ng (1st goals per game, 2nd points per game), Jordyn Behar (1st assists per game, 1st points per game) Lydia Oldknow (3rd goals per game, 4th points per game), Gianna Monaco (4th goals per game), Frannie Hahn (2nd assists per game, 3rd points per game) and Jordan Basso (5th assists per game) all rank in the top-five of those statistical categories.
