Racetrack Road Crash Leads to Shooting Investigation

A call in reference to a car crash turned into a shooting investigation after Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene on Racetrack Road around 3:30 Saturday morning.
Deputies found a crashed van near 218 Racetrack Road but no driver or passengers. They found where someone who was bleeding had jumped a nearby fence. A short time later a Fort Walton Beach area man was located at an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
