Okaloosa County opens cold weather shelter as lows near freezing
NICEVILLE — Cold weather forecast over the weekend has prompted Okaloosa County public safety officials to open a shelter for those in need.
According to Accuweather, overnight lows in Crestview will be near freezing, with wind chill factors reaching the high 20s.
Because of this, Okaloosa County will open the Crestview Area Shelter for the Homeless on March 2 at 6 p.m. The shelter is at 120 Duggan Ave.
