No. 23 Alabama Baseball Wins 11-1 Tuesday, Earns Season Sweep of Jacksonville State
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – No. 23 Alabama baseball took down Jacksonville State, 11-1, on a windy Tuesday night at Rudy Abbot Field at Jim Case Stadium, securing the season sweep of the Gamecocks. The victory improves the Crimson Tide to 13-0 to begin the 2025 campaign.
Bryce Fowler closed 3-for-6 with two RBI atop the Tide lineup, contributing a pair of RBI-singles. Kade Snell was 3-fof-4 with a double and an RBI while Richie Bonomolo Jr. was also 3-for-4, adding a walk and two stolen bases. Will Plattner managed two hits in his four at-bats, including a double and two RBI. Justin Lebron drove in four runs as part of his 1-for-4 night, picking up his first triple of the new season. Coleman Mizell and Jason Torres were also responsible for an RBI apiece.
Aeden Finateri was tasked with his first start of the season, as the senior allowed just one run on three hits and two walks with a strikeout over his 2.1 innings. Braylon Myers (2-0) earned the win after tossing 2.2 scoreless frames out of the Tide bullpen. Myers surrendered just one hit and two walks with two strikeouts over his eight outs. Tate Robertson allowed just one baserunner over his 3.0 scoreless innings, while Ariston Veasey struck out the side in a scoreless ninth to close out the win.

- T4 I Kade Snell opened the frame with a double to left and was brought in one batter later when Will Plattner singled up the middle to give UA the lead. With two in scoring position, Lebron bounced an RBI groundout to shortstop to add on to the Tide’s advantage. (3-1, Alabama)
- T6 I With one out, Plattner doubled to left while Bonomolo Jr. reached after a throwing error by the JSU shortstop. Fowler scored Plattner from second with an RBI-single through the right side before Lebron brought home Bonomolo Jr. following a fielder’s choice. (5-1, Alabama)
- T7 I Will Hodo earned a one-out walk, later stealing second. With two outs, Snell chopped a spinning single past two JSU infielders to bring in Hodo. (6-1, Alabama)
- T8 I Bonomolo Jr. started the inning with a walk and eventually stole second. Two batters later, Lebron lifted a wind-aided triple into right, scoring Bonomolo Jr. The next batter, Coleman Mizell, lined a single into right to bring in Lebron. (8-1, Alabama)
- T9 I The first three in the Tide order reached base, leading to Plattner’s sacrifice fly. Bonomolo Jr. followed with a single into left to re-load the bases before Fowler recorded a single of his own, plating a second run.
