MANHATTAN BEACH – The No. 8 Florida State beach volleyball team will travel to Manhattan Beach, California to participate in the East vs. West Tournament this weekend. The Seminoles will play No. 7 Cal and No. 18 Hawaii on Friday, and No. 1 UCLA and No. 2 LMU on Saturday.

Florida State will open the weekend against #7 Cal. The Seminoles and the Golden Bears have split the career series 1-1, with FSU winning the previous matchup 3-2 in March 2024. Cal currently holds a 9-3 record, with wins over #16 Grand Canyon and #3 USC.

The Seminoles will then play #18 Hawaii. The Noles are 10-4 all time against Hawaii, with Florida State winning the last five straight matchups. The Rainbow Wahine are 5-7 in 2025, winning their previous match against Chaminade 5-0 in Honolulu.

FSU will then play #1 UCLA in their 27th matchup in program history. The Bruins lead the all-time series with the Noles 9-17, winning the previous match In San Luis Obispo, 3-2. UCLA sits at 15-1 with their only loss coming to USC in Honolulu on February 22.

Florida State will then close the weekend against #2 LMU. The Lions are currently 13-1 with notable wins over #5 Stanford, #1 USC, #12 Hawaii, #2 TCU, #11 Arizona State, #20 Washington, #6 Cal Poly, and #8 Long Beach State. FSU leads the all-time series with LMU 10-2, with the Lions emerging victorious in their previous matchup at the Center of Effort Invitational in San Luis Obispo.

Florida State opens play on Friday against Cal at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time, followed by Hawaii at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, FSU will play UCLA at 1:30 p.m., then close the weekend against LMU at 4:00 p.m. Live stats will be available on Seminoles.com.
