Men’s Basketball Begins Postseason Play Friday in Nashville
After closing out the regular season with an overtime win at Auburn, our men’s basketball team earned a double bye in the 2025 Southeastern Conference Tournament and will make its first appearance in Nashville on Friday evening as the No. 3 seed. We are scheduled to play the winner of tonight’s No. 14 Oklahoma vs. No. 6 Kentucky matchup with tip set for approximately 8:30 p.m. CT in Bridgestone Arena.
NCAA Basketball Selection Shows set for Sunday
March Madness is right around the corner! Both the men’s and women’s NCAA tournament fields will be announced live Sunday evening, beginning with the men’s selection show at 5 p.m. CT followed by the women’s at 7 p.m. CT. CBS will unveil the men’s bracket, while the women’s bracket reveal will be broadcast on ESPN.
Track and Field Readies for NCAA Indoor Championships
It’s NCAA Indoor Championship time for our track and field teams, who headed out yesterday for Virginia as Virginia Beach is playing host to this year’s meet. Competition begins tomorrow and wraps up on Saturday evening at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Diamond Sports Reach Conference Season
Following midweek wins on the road against in-state foes, our baseball and softball teams open up SEC play tomorrow with weekend series. First up for baseball is Texas A&M with games scheduled at 6 p.m. CT Friday, 2 p.m. CT Saturday and 4 p.m. CT Sunday. Softball will host Mississippi State, and we’ve adjusted the series a bit to start with a doubleheader tomorrow at 2 p.m. CT as unfavorable weather looks to be headed our way throughout the weekend.
Women’s Tennis in Action at Home this Weekend
Our women’s tennis team will host a pair of SEC matches in Tuscaloosa this weekend, beginning with Auburn on Friday at 3 p.m. CT. We will then welcome in Florida on Sunday for an 11 a.m. CT first serve where we will also be hosting a Crimson Chaos/Crimson Racket Club cookout.
Gymnastics Closes out Regular Season at Michigan
Our gymnastics team will compete in its final meet of the regular season on Saturday when it takes on Michigan in Ann Arbor at 5 p.m. CT. A stream of the meet can be found on B1G+.
Swimming and Diving Gears up for NCAAs
A combined 21 student-athletes will represent Alabama on the national stage at this year’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, taking place in Federal Way, Washington. On the women’s side, eight swimmers qualified in 11 individual events, in addition to three swimmers as alternates for our four advancing relays. Ten men advanced to the national meet, with five swimmers and one diver competing in individual events, plus an additional four swimmers as relay alternates. The women’s meet will take place March 19-22 with the men’s following March 26-29.
Rowing Continues Spring Season
Our rowing team will participate in its second regatta of the spring this weekend as it heads to Oak Ridge, Tennessee for the two-day Cardinal Invitational. In addition to us and host Louisville, Duke, Indiana, Navy, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Wisconsin will also be competing in the races.
The Tides That Bind Airing Now on FOX Nation
In case you haven’t seen it yet, FOX Nation is streaming a six-part docuseries of the 2024 football season titled The Tides That Bind. The first four episodes are currently available with the fifth going live on March 19.
