TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 21 Alabama women’s tennis team (9-5, 3-3 SEC) fell 4-3 to No. 11 Auburn (14-4, 3-3 SEC) on Friday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

  • The Tigers claimed the doubles point after securing wins on courts two and three, while court one remained unfinished
  • The Crimson Tide saw three-straight, two set victories on courts five, three and six, respectfully
  • Margaux Maquet earned Alabama’s first point after downing Ava Esposito, 6-3, 6-0, on court five
  • To claim her sixth victory in the No. 3 spot for Alabama, Klara Miliceivic defeated Ava Hrastar, 6-1, 6-3
  • The Tide’s final point of the match came from Sara Nayar on court six after she beat Alice Battesti in two-sets, including a set one tiebreak, 7-6(1), 6-0
  • Auburn also picked up three straight-set wins on the remaining courts en route to a 4-3 win over Alabama
