Men’s Basketball Takes on BYU in NCAA Sweet 16 Tonight

March Madness continues for men’s basketball tonight as we face BYU in the NCAA Tournament East Region Sweet 16. The game will take place in Newark, N.J.’s Prudential Center at 6:09 p.m. CT on CBS. Look forward to seeing lots of crimson and white in the stands!

Women’s Basketball’s Season Wraps up in NCAA Second Round

Our women’s basketball team wrapped up one of its best seasons in program history just shy of reaching the Sweet 16 with a three-point double overtime loss at Maryland on Monday. Incredible performance by Sarah Ashlee Barker, who finished with a school record 45 points, including three clutch free throws with tenths-of-a-second remaining to force the second overtime.

Gymnastics set to Host NCAA Regional in Tuscaloosa

The field is set for the 2025 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships, and we are fortunate to be hosting a Regional right here in Tuscaloosa, April 3-6. Teams joining us are No. 3 Florida, No. 6 California, No. 14 Oregon State, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State and Rutgers. In addition, we have 16 individuals from across the country competing for a spot at nationals. Tickets are currently on sale for all sessions through the Alabama Ticket Office.  

Baseball Hosts Top 15 Series with Oklahoma Coming to Town

Our baseball team is back home for its third SEC series of the season, hosting No. 9 Oklahoma for three games. The opener is set for Friday at 6 p.m. CT, while Saturday’s game is scheduled for a 12 p.m. CT first pitch and Sunday’s finale a 1 p.m. CT start. Tickets are still on sale through the Alabama Ticket Office or at Gate 3 on game days for walkups.

Softball Welcomes Georgia to the Rhoads House

Our softball team also continues conference play at home this weekend, hosting No. 15 Georgia at Rhoads Stadium. Game one of the series is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. CT, Saturday’s game two at 2 p.m. CT and Sunday’s nationally televised contest on ESPN2 at 11 a.m. CT. General admission tickets are available for all three games.

Tide Tennis in Tuscaloosa this Weekend

Both our men’s and women’s tennis teams will be in town this weekend hosting SEC dual matches at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The women are set to face No. 1 Georgia on Friday at 5 p.m. CT and No. 23 South Carolina on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT. The men continue their homestand on Saturday, hosting the 21st-ranked Oklahoma Sooners at 1 p.m. CT.

Men’s Swimming and Diving in Action at NCAA Championships

We have 10 student-athletes currently representing the Tide at this year’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, which are being held in Federal Way, Wash., at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center. On opening night of the meet, our 800 freestyle relay team comprised of Charlie Hawke, Kaique Alves, Tommy Hagar and Toni Dragoja placed fourth while also setting the school record with a time of 6:06:59. Prelim and finals races will continue through Saturday.

Women’s Swimming and Diving Collects All-America Honors in Eight Events

Our women’s swimming and diving team finished up its NCAA championship meet last week where we placed 15th scoring 65 points. In total, we had seven student-athletes combine for 20 All-America honors in eight different events. Cadence Vincent led the way with six All-America honors, including a first team nod in the 50 free.

Track and Field Continues Outdoor Season

Our track and field team split the squads this week, competing in two different events – first the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, which are ongoing in Austin, Texas and secondly, the Battle on the Bayou, hosted by LSU in Baton Rouge Friday and Saturday. A reminder that we have our lone home event of the season coming up in a few weeks when we host the Crimson Tide Invitational April 11-12.

Rowing Heads to Florida for Sunshine State Invitational

Our rowing team is back in action this weekend, traveling to Sarasota, Florida for the Sunshine State Invitational. Races will take place Friday and Saturday at Nathan Benderson Park.

Men’s Golf Travels to Texas for Maridoe Collegiate

Our men’s golf team is gearing up for its fourth competition of the spring season, which begins Monday, March 31 in Carrollton, Texas at the Maridoe Golf Club, hosted by North Texas. Thus far, our team has finished in the top three in all of its tournaments, most recently finishing runner-up at the Linger Longer Invitational.

Details on Golden Flake A-Day Announced

We recently announced details on this year’s Golden Flake A-Day, including several add-on opportunities through Crimson Tide Access as well as the addition of on-field autographs post practice for Yea Alabama members. If you’re not a member yet, you can join at any time, starting at $18 a month.

University Spotlight

Earlier this month, four University of Alabama student veterans laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Drew Bair, a Marine Corps veteran, and Blake Schickel, an Army veteran, had the honor of placing the wreath, while UA Student Veterans Association leaders Cody Copper and Jordan Golden joined them in support. This was the first time a current UA student or a student from an SEC institution participated in the ritual.
