TALLAHASSEE – The No. 19 Florida State men’s tennis team is set to kick off Seminole Spring Weekend with two conference clashes against Notre Dame and Louisville.

FSU will matchup against Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday before facing Louisville at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Thursday’s match will be telecasted on ACC Network Extra with Ariya Massoudi and Tony Whitehurst on the call.

The Seminoles hold multi-match unbeaten streaks against Notre Dame and Louisville. FSU defeated both teams 4-2 on the road last season, extending its eight-match winning streak over the Irish and seven wins over Louisville in the past decade.

Florida State displayed one of its finest road performances of the season with a 4-3 reverse sweep victory at No. 13 Duke before blanking North Carolina 4-0 to notch a fourth consecutive victory. Corey Craig won his eighth three-set match of the season after defeating the No. 36 player in the nation. Craig has five ACC Court 1 victories in his debut season as a Seminole with nine ranked singles wins.

Jamie Connel recorded a rare double bagel at North Carolina, winning his match 6-0, 6-0 on Court 2 to finish his match in a record 60 minutes. Alex Bulte captured his first team clinch of the season after coming back from a set down to win 12 of the final 15 games on Court 3 while Youcef Rihane won both of his matches over the weekend without dropping a set in singles play on Court 6.

The newest ITA rankings were released Tuesday. Florida State soared up eight spots to No. 19 following a strong road weekend. Craig was ranked as the No. 15 singles player in the nation following a top-50 road win at Duke while Connel checked in at No. 52. Bulte and Rihane retained their top-10 status at No. 9.

Thursday’s match will be featured as a Spear-It Rewards night with Whataburger coupons available on giveaway while Saturday’s match will be featured as Kids Club Day with free hand fans. Concessions remain available on weekday matches at the Speicher Tennis Center.
