Alabama Falls 4-3 to Florida in SEC Tournament
AUBURN, Ala. – The Alabama women’s tennis team (13-14, 4-11 SEC) fell 4-3 to Florida (9-13, 4-11 SEC) on Wednesday in the opening round of the 2025 Southeastern Conference Tournament.

- Petra Sedlackova and Margaux Maquet defeated Alicia Dudeney and Bente Spee on court one to give Alabama a slight advantage during doubles play
- Florida responded with a tiebreak victory on court three, 7-6(5), before going on to claim the doubles point after the duo of Nikola Daubnerova and Rachel Gailis downed the Tide’s Maria Martinez Vaquero and Maria Andrienko, 7-5(2), on court two

- The Gators would go on to clinch court one, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, while Martinez-Vaque battled back in a third set on court four, 4-6, 6-0, 6-4, to even the score at 3-3
- With a win on court two, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, Florida secured the overall team victory
