LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 4 Florida State baseball team travels to No. 19 Louisville for a top-20 weekend series from April 25-27 in Louisville, Kentucky.
The series at Jim Patterson Stadium begins on Friday, April 25, at 6 p.m. ET, followed by a 2 p.m. matchup on Saturday, April 26. The finale is on Sunday, April 27, at 3 p.m.

Florida State is 30-7 overall, 20-4 at home, 9-3 on the road and 1-0 at a neutral site. FSU is 11-4 in the ACC and leads the conference with a .733 winning percentage. Winners of five in a row, the team is coming off an 11-6 win over Stetson on April 22. The Seminoles have won eight of their nine series in 2025, four of five in the conference and all three on the road. The team is 3-1 against top-25 opponents.

NOLES BY THE NUMBERS
FSU has scored 312 runs on 412 hits with a .321 batting average, 68 home runs, 174 walks and 50 stolen bases. The pitching staff owns a 4.22 ERA with 148 earned runs allowed in 316.0 innings with 257 hits, 393 strikeouts and 163 walks.
Junior infielder Alex Lodise leads the team with a .429 batting average, 67 hits, 47 RBI, 12 doubles and 122 total bases and is second with 13 home runs. Junior outfielder Max Williams paces the squad with 15 homers and is second with 38 RBI. Junior outfielder Gage Harrelson has 12 stolen bases and is second with a .368 average and 57 hits. On the mound, junior left-handed starter Joey Volini is 8-1 with a 2.39 ERA, 71 strikeouts and 15 walks in 52.2 innings. Among relievers, sophomore lefty Brady Louck has a 2.53 ERA in 10.2 innings and sophomore right-hander John Abraham has 30 strikeouts in 21.2 innings.
SERIES HISTORY VS. LOUISVILLE
Florida State leads the all-time series against the Cardinals 36-13. The Noles are 21-6 at home, 10-7 on the road and 5-0 at a neutral site. The series began with a 5-2 win in 1977, while the two teams have played a series every year since UofL joined the ACC in 2015, with the exception of the shortened 2020 campaign. FSU has won three consecutive series since 2022, including taking two-of-three a year ago in Tallahassee. The Seminoles own the largest win streak in the series, a 14-game run from 1983 to 2015. Florida State has won four of the last five and seven of nine.
The Noles notched a home series win from March 28-30 in Tallahassee. The Noles won the opener 8-3 with the help of a four-run fifth as Joe Charles picked up the save with 3.0 no-hit innings. Three runs in the first two innings and a 5-0 deficit proved to be too much in the middle game in a 5-2 defeat. A 9-4 win capped the series with the help of Cal Fisher, who homered in the fourth and had two hits and two RBI.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville is 28-12 on the season, 22-3 at home, 4-8 on the road and 2-1 at a neutral site. The Cardinals are 10-8 in ACC play and in seventh place after a series loss at No. 2 Clemson. Against top-25 teams, UofL is 6-4 which includes wins over then-No. 7 Texas and No. 12 Arizona to begin the season and a series win over No. 6 North Carolina. Most recently, Louisville suffered a 17-5 loss at Kentucky on Tuesday night in Lexington.
In the national rankings, Louisville is No. 19 in the D1Baseball and Baseball America polls. The Athletic has UofL at No. 22 and the Cardinals are receiving votes in the NCBWA rankings.
Jake Munroe leads the team with a .374 batting average and 58 hits and his second with 41 RBI. Tague Davis has 15 home runs and 41 RBI while Zion Rose boasts 45 RBI and is second with 14 doubles. On the mound, Patrick Forbes has 69 strikeouts and a 4.36 ERA in 43.1 innings with nine starts and Wyatt Danilowicz has a 2.12 ERA in 17.0 innings in relief.

LAST TIME OUT: COMEBACK MIDWEEK WIN
Florida State rallied for an 11-6 victory over Stetson on April 22 at Dick Howser Stadium. The Seminoles trailed 4-0 in the top of the fourth inning, but tied it at 4-4 in the bottom half and added four more in the fifth to take an 8-4 lead. The Hatters got back within two in the sixth before FSU scored three insurance runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
In a matchup between two teams that lead their conferences in league winning percentage, Florida State’s offense benefited from three home runs and the defense turned in several outstanding plays. Harrelson had two hits and four RBI, including a homer. Sophomore left fielder Chase William stole four bases, tied for fourth-most in program history, and he also had two hits and two RBI.
Sophomore right-hander John Abraham pitched 1.2 scoreless innings in relief and earned the win to improve to 3-0 on the season. He gave up two hits, struck out one and did not walk a batter.
