Shaw, a sophomore, led FSU from the No. 1 position in singles, finishing with a 10-5 record. She began the spring season winning four of her first five matches, all in straight sets. Shaw maintained her early-season momentum in ACC play, winning her first four conference matches, including her first ranked victory of the season over No. 64 Akari Matsuno of Notre Dame. She concluded singles play in the second round of the ACC Women’s Tennis Championship with a victory over No. 111 Alice Otis of Louisville.
Parra Romero and Shaw recorded a 13-4 record in doubles this season and finished with a 6-4 record in ACC play. The duo began their spring season with a 6-1 victory over Florida and earned their first ranked victory, defeating No. 117 Melisa Mekic and Diana Craciun of Alabama State. The pair earned three ranked victories, including two in the top 25, defeating No. 25 Xinyi Nong and Raquel Gonzalez of Miami, and No. 15 Irina Balus and Ellie Coleman of Duke. Shaw and Parra Romero were ranked as high as No. 39 in the ITA rankings poll. The duo also holds the third-longest doubles winning streak in Florida State history at 12 matches.
