Davies, Finnelle and Hahn Earn Big 12 Player of the Week Honors

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida lacrosse team had three players capture Big 12 Player of the Week nods, announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. Florida went 1-0 this past week, defeating Arizona State 17-5.

Kaitlyn Davies earned Big 12 Midfielder of the Week, Elyse Finnelle brought in Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week and Frannie Hahn secured Big 12 Freshman of the Week. It is the third consecutive week Finnelle has earned this honor, and the second straight week Hahn has been named freshman of the week.

Davies recorded her seventh hat-trick of the season against Arizona State, recording four goals, one assist, five draw controls, two caused turnovers and one ground ball. The Wayne, N.J. native ranks third on the team in goals (38), third in ground balls (24), second in caused turnovers (18) and third in draw controls (30), along with seven assists this season. It is her second midfielder of the week honor in 2025.

Finnelle earns goalkeeper of the week for the third consecutive week, totaling 10 saves on a .714 save percentage. The Deale, Md. native has 77 saves on a .478 save percentage this season, with a 10-0 record. Finnelle has 42 saves on a .667 save percentage over her last five games.

Hahn logged her second consecutive freshman of the week honor and third this season. The Catonsville, Md. native compiled two goals, four assists, one caused turnover and one ground ball this past week, dishing out nine assists over her last two games. Hahn leads the Gators in assists (50) and points (77) this season, along with 27 goals, 17 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.

The fourth-ranked Gators will be back in action on Thursday in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament against UC Davis at 6 p.m. ET in Boulder, Colo.
